Mucenta Elementary has over 250 students, but only one open fire to cook lunches.  The delay to get food to all the student is excessively long. And expensive firewood is wasted due to the open flames.

 

This project will fund the construction of five brick cooking stoves, including cement, bricks, iron bars and commission for the local builder. For their part, the Mucenta community has built a modest kitchen to house the stoves, and will pay the builder’s assistants.

 

These stoves will help get food out to all of the students promptly. And the money saved in firewood expenses will be passed on to the school cooks!
